Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Vedang Campus ERP application ("the App"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the App.

2. Eligibility

The App is intended for use by:

• Enrolled students of Vedang Institute of Technology
• Faculty members employed by Vedang Institute of Technology
• Administrative staff and authorized personnel of the institution

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this App. Access is granted through credentials provided by the institution.

3. User Accounts

Account Security:

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• You must not share your account with any other person
• You must immediately notify the administration of any unauthorized use of your account
• We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account

Account Types:

The App supports multiple roles including Student, Faculty, Admin, Principal, Librarian, and Course Coordinator. Each role has specific access permissions and functionalities assigned by the institution.

4. Permitted Use

You agree to use the App only for its intended purposes, which include:

• Viewing academic records, attendance, and results
• Accessing fee details and payment history
• Viewing timetables and class schedules
• Reading campus notices and announcements
• Managing library resources (borrowing, digital library access)
• Managing leave applications and class substitutions (faculty)
• Administrative tasks as authorized by your role

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts or system resources
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers
• Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the App
• Modify, copy, or distribute any content from the App without authorization
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or decompile the App

6. Notifications and Communications

By using the App, you consent to receive notifications through:

• In-App Notifications: Push notifications for class reminders, notices, and updates
• WhatsApp Messages: Class schedules, exam updates, and important announcements
• Email: Password resets, payment receipts, and administrative communications

Essential notifications related to your academic activities cannot be opted out of. You may manage non-essential notification preferences through the App settings.

7. Fee Payments

Fee information displayed in the App is provided by the institution's administration. While we strive for accuracy:

• Fee structures are set by the institution and may be updated periodically
• Payment processing is handled through secure third-party payment gateways
• Refund policies are governed by the institution's fee refund policy
• Payment receipts generated through the App serve as confirmation of transactions

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of Vedang Institute of Technology and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for its intended purpose during your association with the institution.

9. Data Accuracy

While we strive to ensure the accuracy of information displayed in the App (attendance records, results, fee details, timetables), the institution reserves the right to correct any errors or discrepancies. In case of any discrepancy, the official records maintained by the institution shall prevail.

10. Service Availability

• We aim to maintain continuous availability of the App but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
• The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App
• Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you through the App in the preceding 12 months
• We are not responsible for any loss resulting from system downtime, data transmission errors, or third-party service failures

12. Termination

Your access to the App may be terminated:

• Upon completion of your programme or end of your association with the institution
• If you violate any of these Terms of Service
• At the discretion of the institution's administration

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Data retention after termination is governed by our Privacy Policy and institutional record-keeping requirements.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be communicated through the App or via notifications. Your continued use of the App after any modification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the state where Vedang Institute of Technology is located.
